How to Turn Emails into New Tasks

    With the mail-to-task feature you can send an email to factro and automatically create a new task.
    How does it work? Here is how to proceed:

    Mail-to-task settings

    1. Click on this link to go to your mail-to-task settings.
    2. Create your inbox address by simply clicking on the (+) icon.
    3. Definde the allowed addresses to create tasks via emails, e.g. all users in your cloud, or add further senders who are allowed to send a task to you by mail. You can also add your own email address.

    Create email

    1. Write the task title in the subject line of the email.
    2. Write the description of the task as plain text in your email.
    3. If required, attach files to your email that you want to add to your task. Mail-to-task supports all the file formats that you could already upload to factro.
    4. Send the email from an approved mail account to your factro inbox address.

    Log in to your factro Cloud and click on the “New task”:

    1. Go to your task sheet. There you will see new tasks.
    2. Open a task and further elaborate on it, move it to a project and package or add checklist items.

    Please note:The mail-to-task function is possible from the permission group “Employee”. Mail-To-Task is not available for guest users.
